In November 2003, Jerry and Tracy Neale of Oxford, MI, launched Natural Awakenings of East Michigan, which originally served the communities in and around the East Michigan communities of Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and St. Clair counties.
The first issue was published in April 2004 and has been freely distributed every month since. In October, 2006, Jerry & Tracy published their second Natural Awakenings Magazine to serve the communities of Greater Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee counties, Michigan."Our mission is to provide insights and information to our community in an effort to help educate, inform and bridge the gap between conventional health and environmental issues and integrative approaches to health, wellness and green living that include natural, complementary and alternative approaches and modalities. One gets most effective care and can live a longer, more productive and healthier life when using the best of everything.
